According to the school, a Bensburg, Germany, newspaper shared the photo seen here along with a story about the visit. In that article, Vice-Mayor Ingrid Koshofer welcomed the group and was quoted as saying, “You are all here to build bridges, to discover the world, and to develop lasting friendships.” Koshofer also pointed out the economic parallel between the two towns, both of which make paper, according to the German article. Students from Bensburg’s Albertus Magnus Gymnasium (high school) visited Spring Grove in Fall 2013, and this visit was the partner of that trip. Accompanying the American students were teachers Deanna Thatcher and Steve Richards.
