A Walt Disney World monorail lost power and stranded passengers during severe weather Sunday night. 120 passengers had to be evacuated by emergency crews after being stranded for an hour and a half on the tall tracks. Disney tried to restart the train and move it to one of the stations, but when that didnt work, fire crews had to step in and help evacuate the passengers. The Disney guests had to climb through the emergency hatch on top of the train car and then walk across several other train cars until they reached a staircase that they could walk down safely. Fire crews got to the scene around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, and reported that all of the passengers were finally evacuated just after 8 p.m.
