Judge Thokozile Masipa sent Pistorius for psychiatric observation on an outpatient basis to determine whether his state of mind played any part in Reeva Steenkamps fatal shooting on Valentines Day last year. Four specialists are responsible for a report that will determine whether Pistorius was criminally responsible for the shooting or whether his anxiety disorder resulted in him having diminished capacity. There are three possible scenarios that could emerge from this report. The first is that the psychiatric panel might declare Pistorius does have a mental illness that renders him incapable of being able to determine the difference between right and wrong.
